Enneagram Workshops for Executives

Know Your Patterns. Lead Your Team.

A nine-type framework that reveals the operating system behind your best leadership. Most tools describe what you do. The Enneagram clarifies how you do it best, and where you have more available than you’ve used. We use it as the common language for executive teams, the diagnostic lens for individual leaders, and the framework that makes good leaders measurably better.

What's going on with your leadership team right now?

No wrong answer here, we just want to understand the room.

STEP 1*
WHY TANDEMLY

Most Teams Use the Enneagram like a Horoscope. We Use it like an Instrument.

Done right, the Enneagram is the most useful diagnostic tool we’ve found in fifteen years of organizational work. Done wrong, it’s a personality test with extra steps. Three things separate the two.

Diagnostic, Not Decorative

The Enneagram becomes useful the moment it stops describing types and starts revealing motivations. We don't run workshops where people swap which type their friends are. We use it to surface the patterns running your decisions, your conflict, and your team's stuck loops.

Common Language for Hard Conversations

Once your leadership team shares Enneagram fluency, the conversations they've been avoiding get measurably easier. Friction that was personality becomes pattern, and pattern is something a team can actually work with. The argument gets shorter. Curiosity replaces blame.

In Service of the Work, Not as the Work

The Enneagram is one instrument in a larger practice. We integrate it with executive coaching, leadership retreats, offsites, and manager development programs. Insight without application fades by Monday. Application gives the framework somewhere to live.

WHEN TEAMS CALL US

The Moment a Personality Framework Becomes a Leadership Tool

If any of these read like the moment you’re in, the discovery call is short and the diagnosis is usually quick.

01

The Same Conflict Keeps Recurring

Different topic every quarter, same fight underneath. The pattern is type-coded, not topic-coded, and the team is rebuilding the argument from scratch every time without knowing why.

02

Communication Breaks Down at the Top

Your leadership team is fluent in business and illiterate in each other. The friction reads as personality. It's actually pattern, and the Enneagram makes that distinction concrete enough to act on.

03

A New Senior Leader is Landing

The team's working dynamics need to absorb the new exec, not just the org chart. An Enneagram session in the first ninety days is how leadership teams onboard each other, properly, before bad patterns calcify.

04

You Want Depth without Exposure

Your team needs to understand each other better. They are not going to do trust falls. The Enneagram gives executives a framework they can engage with intellectually first, emotionally second.

05

An Individual Leader is Stuck

A high performer keeps hitting the same ceiling. The Enneagram surfaces the type-driven pattern that's running them in the rooms where they cost themselves the most, and gives them something specific to work with.

06

You Want a Tool that Pairs with the Rest

You already run offsites, executive coaching, or manager training. The Enneagram is the connective layer that makes all of them more durable, and turns the language across them into one shared vocabulary.

WHO WE WORK WITH

Industry Agnostic. With Clear Proclivities.

The fundamental issues read the same across industries: misaligned goals, leadership style clashes, predictable growing pains at predictable revenue thresholds. But we’ve earned particular fluency in four. Less ramp-up, faster diagnosis, fewer assumptions to unwind.

Beauty & Consumer Packaged Goods

DTC · Retail · Professional B2B

From the household-name brand with a thirty-year founder to the indie label spanning DTC, retail, and professional B2B channels. We help beauty and CPG executives navigate the operating-model complexity when direct sales, retail, and professional channels all have to coexist, the retention pressure of uncertain times, and the founder succession everyone has been postponing.

Higher Education & Academia

Universities · Medical Schools · Foundations

Publicly run universities, medical schools, and the foundations that fund them. The egos, politics, and governance complexity of academic leadership are uniquely difficult, and uniquely familiar to us. Recent partners include foundation-funded research fellowships and graduate medical education programs.

Healthcare Tech

Provider Systems · Health Tech · Biotech

The innovation pace is brutal and the leadership transitions are constant. We work with healthcare and healthcare-tech executives navigating scaling crises, succession questions, and the cultural integration that comes with acquisition or rapid growth. Confidentiality is structural, not negotiated.

Architecture & Construction

Founder-Led Firms · REITs · Specialty Builders

Founder-led firms with deep technical expertise and the predictable growing pains that come with mid-market scale. Complex stakeholder dynamics, highly specialized practices, and leadership conversations that needed a facilitator long before they got one.

THE NINE EXECUTIVE LENSES

Every Type Leads. Each One Leads Differently.

A glance at how the framework reads in a leadership context. These descriptions aren’t flattering or unflattering. They’re accurate, and accuracy is the point.

TYPE 01

The Reformer

Holds the team to the standard. At their edge: rigid, self-critical, unable to delegate without rewriting.

TYPE 02

The Helper

The connective tissue of the org. At their edge: avoids hard feedback, conflates being needed with leading.

TYPE 03

The Achiever

The reason the quarter closed. At their edge: image-driven, conflict-avoidant in service of optics.

TYPE 04

The Individualist

Sees what the org is missing. At their edge: moody, self-referencing, mistakes feeling for strategy.

TYPE 04

The Individualist

Sees what the org is missing. At their edge: moody, self-referencing, mistakes feeling for strategy.

TYPE 05

The Investigator

The strategist nobody beats on logic. At their edge: hoards information, withholds, retreats from the room.

TYPE 07

The Enthusiast

Generates the next opportunity, the next pivot. At their edge: scattered, allergic to hard finishes.

TYPE 08

The Challenger

The founder energy that built the company. At their edge: dominating, overrides quieter signal in the room.

TYPE 09

The Peacemaker

The diplomat who keeps the org whole. At their edge: avoids the call, conflates harmony with progress.

HOW IT WORKS

Four Steps from Intake to Integration

DIAGNOSE

Discovery Call

A one-hour conversation where we listen for what the team is actually trying to solve. The Enneagram is rarely the goal. It's the instrument we reach for to get to one.

PROFILE

Validated Assessment

A research-backed instrument identifies each participant's dominant type, wing, and instinctual subtype. Sixty minutes, completed before we meet. Reports in your inbox before the workshop.

FACILITATE

In the Room with You

A live workshop where the report becomes recognizable. Senior facilitators bring you through it. The moment of "that's exactly what I do" is the unlock. Fluency builds over the course of the day.

INTEGRATE

Ongoing Application Coaching

Insight without application fades. We stay close for as long as the work requires, often pairing the workshop with executive coaching for one or two leaders who recognized themselves most clearly.

Frequently Asked Questions

A Tandemly Enneagram workshop is a highly interactive team experience where participants explore each of the nine Enneagram types, learn how different types communicate and respond under pressure, and discover practical strategies for working more effectively with colleagues of different types. Workshops move from self-awareness (intrapersonal) to one-on-one dynamics (interpersonal) to whole-team patterns.

For the best experience, Tandemly recommends that all participants complete the iEQ9 Enneagram assessment before the team workshop. This allows each person to arrive knowing their own type, making the workshop content more personally resonant and the team dynamics discussion more specific and actionable. Pre-workshop individual debriefs can also be arranged.

The Enneagram workshop gives teams a shared language for understanding why people react, communicate, and prioritize differently. By mapping each team member’s type, the workshop reveals common friction points, such as why a Type 3 and a Type 9 might clash on urgency, and provides concrete strategies for navigating those differences with empathy and efficiency, reducing misunderstandings and interpersonal conflict.

Tandemly Enneagram workshops are designed to be effective for teams of varying sizes. Smaller teams of 4–10 allow for deep, personal exploration of each type’s dynamic. Larger teams can be accommodated with facilitation techniques that keep the experience engaging and personal. Contact Tandemly to discuss format options for your specific team size.

An Enneagram debrief is a one-on-one or two-person session focused on deeply understanding an individual’s results and how their type shows up in their work and relationships. An Enneagram workshop is a group experience focused on building team-level understanding and shared strategies. Tandemly often recommends pairing individual debriefs with the team workshop for maximum impact.

Tell Us Where the Friction is. We'll Show You the Pattern Under it.

A one-hour discovery call is usually enough to know whether the Enneagram is the right diagnostic tool, and how it would integrate with your existing leadership work.
